Welcome Home Hooker Family 11/29/2011
On Saturday November 19th HFHGB dedicated House #14 to David & Lara Hooker and their 3 children. The children were very excited to see the finished product and couldn’t wait to get into their rooms and start playing. This home was built with love not only from the partner family but from all of us at HFHGB as well as the numerous volunteers that took part in the construction process. It is a beautiful thing to see a community work together to help out a local family in need. There are so many families within our community that would benefit greatly from the opportunity of homeownership and we hope to be able to service many more families within the community. We can’t do it alone though it takes many people as well as a great deal of money raised in order to pull off a Habitat home. One of our greatest needs is land. In the past we have always had land donated to us but as it stands now we are at a stopping point for construction till we secure land suitable for a Habitat home. If you or someone you know is interested in land donation please contact us at info@habitatbangor.org. Remember, your donation is tax deductable. Congratulations David & Lara, we look forward to watching your family grow within these walls built with love. May you always remember that “ a House is built with Walls and Beams, but a Home is built with Love and Dreams”. From all of us at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor………… Welcome Home!
