No one is more affected than low-income families struggling to survive; many of them face heart-wrenching choices between paying the rent, feeding their families, or going to the doctor.
That’s where Habitat for Humanity comes in. By building decent, affordable homes with low mortgage payments, we help families free up money for transportation, childcare, healthcare, heating oil, and more.
Each house we build costs approximately $100,000 and we are always seeking out partnerships that enable us to build even more affordable housing.
All Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor donations are tax-deductible, to the extent allowed by law, and will be acknowledged with documentation you may use for IRS purposes. Gifts made on-line are safe and will be put to good use by Habitat. We take seriously our responsibility to donors and partner families, who count on us to be wise stewards of the funds entrusted to us.
