Ways to Give
We offer a variety of ways to support the mission of Habitat right here in the Bangor area. You can make a one-time gift, or become a monthly donor. We can help if you'd like to donate by phone, set up direct payments, or just mail a check. All gifts are tax deductible.

Check or Credit Card:

Monthly Giving:
Become a Hope Builder! Make your donation a recurring gift to provide a greater impact with on-going support.
Employer Matching Gift
Many employers offer a matching gift program to extend their employee's support out in the community. Check with your Human ReSources department or company management to participate or start a matching gift program at your place of work.
Cars for Homes:
Have a vehicle that needs to go? Consider donating it to Habitat! One phone call gets the process started for a quick and easy way to support affordable housing in your area. IRA Distributions:
If you have an Individual Retirement Account and are aged 70 1/2 or older, you can make a tax-free charitable contribution. Those who meet the age requirement can transfer up to $100,000 per year directly from an IRA to an eligible non-profit like Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor without paying income tax on the transaction. If you are 73 or older, use this transfer to satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD).
Gift of Stock:
Realize your philanthropic goals and leverage the appreciated value of your securities. You will avoid paying taxes and qualify for an income tax charitable deduction based on the market value at the time of transfer. Donor Advised Fund:
Recommend a grant to HFHGB from your donor advised fund. It's another flexible, and tax-efficient way to support the Habitat mission.
