Construction Manager and Safety Supervisor
Salary Commensurate with Experience
Position Summary: This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of all affiliate construction and renovation activities in collaboration with the Executive Director, Site Selection and Building Committee Chair, and lead volunteers. The manager is responsible for coordinating, leading and training volunteers, arranging subcontracted services, scoping projects for materials and budget, and coordinating procurement plans with the Treasurer and Executive Director. The successful candidate will create positive visibility as the face of the Habitat in the local community, presenting the mission and scope of Habitat for Humanity International and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have extensive background in all phases of residential construction, especially craftsmanship and carpentry skills. Organizational skills and experience managing construction projects is a must. Experience managing volunteers is a plus. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written skills and the leadership skills required to instruct and supervise skilled and unskilled volunteers in power tool and construction methods.
Other Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated success in training, leading and developing staff and/or volunteers in a consistent, positive and safety conscious manner.

Demonstrated history of successfully adapting to changing conditions and unexpected shifts in priorities.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
